With a Grateful Heart
This morning I woke up in Washington, D.C.
A few years ago I moved here beyond excited to start a new chapter in my career. Well, things didn’t pan out the way I expected. I’ll save all the details for another day but today, I’m totally reminded that God has a way of taking care of us. That year and a half I lived here was a true test of my patience and my faith. Years later, I’m convinced its only by the grace of God that I’m still standing. From job to job and city to city, God has always provided and taken care of me. Even in the midst of confusion and complete uncertainty, God is still working. He’s still protecting us. He is still God.
There is so much going on in the world today. We are all fighting some kind of battle. Troubles come and sometimes it lasts way longer than we want. But we’ve got to hold on to the promises of God. We’ve got to take life one day at a time and let God take care of tomorrow. He will. He always does.
It’s a beautiful day.
I’m blessed.
I’m grateful.
….and God is good!
But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name will rejoice in you.
