The C Word

Let’s talk about confirmation for a minute….

I remember my first blog I started back in undergrad. It was called “blackilyspeaks,” and it was the very first time I ever put my writing out into the world. I’d later start another blog years later coined “bylovengrace” and that was the first time I really and truly let my wings fly. I was still holding back then though and didn’t quite know who I was writing to or why I was writing. Fast forward through a lot of self discovery, trial and error, distractions, and a whole lot of confusion, it has brought me to this point, a place of truly believing that I am on the right track. Now I haven’t gotten it all figured out but through many signs, conversations, and quiet time with God, I feel this push to dream bigger and pray bigger. I am learning the value of being very specific in what I pray for and to never put limits on what God can do. This is a time for me to trust the vision God has given me and to let God be God in this process, because He certainly doesn’t need my help at doing just that.

Along this journey I’ve also felt so grateful. I’m grateful for the talents God has given me. I’m grateful for the new friends I’ve met along the way. I’m grateful for every bit of encouragement and support I’ve received. I don’t know what the future holds but something tells me that God has a plan for all of us. May we find our way through all the noise. May we discover who we are as we discover who God is. May we think, and dream, and do all that we can to make the most of each day. May we live in purpose on purpose.
